What Was Simone's Early Life Like? 

When Simone Lutgert was young she started her education journey, at Memphis State University in Tennessee. From Pensacola, FL she excelled academically. Earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. 

Simones's dedication to excellence was clear when she became a member of the Kappa Delta Phi National Honor Society demonstrating her commitment to success. In 1973 she graduated with honors, magna cum laude highlighting her work and outstanding performance during her time in college. 

Simone's formative years in Pensacola and her pursuit of achievements at Memphis State University set the stage for her endeavors emphasizing a strong focus, on learning and intellectual development. 

Lutgert Was A Former Sales Executive

Simone, who retired from her sales and marketing career in 1996 has been deeply involved in volunteer work. She dedicated seven years to the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (C’MON) eventually becoming an Emeritus Board Member and Capital Campaign Chairman helping raise, over $30 million.

Apart from her work with C’MON Simone spent three years on the Hats in the Garden Luncheon committee for the Naples Botanical Garden. Contributed to the Magnolia Ball Steering Committee for five years supporting research and education at NCH/Lutgert Cancer Center. 

Simone and her husband Scott led the Magnolia Ball event in 2015.

Her involvement in roles at the Naples Winter Wine Festival included being VIP Party co-chairman in 2012 marketing director in 2005 and 2007 and Auction Day co-chair in 2004. 

Simone was part of the grant committee for two years, at the Naples Children and Education Foundation. For, more than 12 years Simone and Scott have been organizing vintner dinners. Simone has garnered various accolades, including her inclusion in the 2015 "25 over 50" list by Naples Daily News. She, along with Scott, received the 2013 Stars in the Arts award from the United Arts Council of Collier County. 

Similarly, the couple was honored with the 2013 Ken Venturi Award from The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. Gulfshore Life magazine recognized her as the 2010 Woman of the Year. In 2010, she received Donna Karan’s “Women Who Inspire” award and served as a DK Style Ambassador from 2010 to 2013. 

In 2008, both Simone and Scott were acknowledged as Outstanding Philanthropists by the Community Foundation of Collier County, and Simone was named in the 2008 Women of Style (now Women of Initiative) by n magazine.
